This episode begins a new sub-saga... the Trunks Saga. This episode begins with Gohan whom is supposed to be studying in his room. Calmy, his mom, Chi-chi walks in and informs him that they have a special guest. Gohan's new tutor. Mr. Shoo, the tutor enters the room, and asks Chi-chi to leave.
The scene switches to Gohan working and Mr. Shoo looking over a paper. Frustrated, Gohan murmurs some words, and Mr. Shoo tells him not to talk. Then he remarks on how he found two wrong answers already. Mr. Shoo pulls out his whip, and makes a dis about Gokou. Gohan gets extremely pissed off, but before he can do anything he finds himself being whipped in the back.
Later during Gohan's studies, his dragon (dubbed Icarus) flies up toward the window. Gohan thanks him and climbs out the window, Icarus flies out ahead of him.
Outside there is an eerie thick mist. A silluette of his father, Gokou. Gohan starts to cry and runs toward him, Chi-chi also walks out to greet Gokou. Suddenly Gokou's face turns stern, and he grabs Gohan. Gokou forms into Furiza and he is about to smack Gohan... But he wakes up.
In reality Gohan is twisting Mr. Shoo's arm, and the tutor is screaming let go. Out of this commotion Chi-chi walks to Gohan's room. Mr. Shoo severely insults Gokou, which pisses Chi-chi off, A LOT. She grabs Mr. Shoo and throughs him outta the window.
Meanwhile at Capsule Corp. Yamcha, Oolong, Puarre and Bulma (sporting her new afro) are sitting at a table. They see the ship Capsule 3 crashland. An angered Vegeta walks outside and comments that he never found Kakarotto. Bulma makes him take a shower and you discover Vegeta does NOT know how to talk to the ladies.
Here's where the story picks up. Everybody senses a enormous power and they all come to the conclusion that it's Furiza. Gohan flies off towards the horizan.

When we last left Gohan he was flying off towards the enormous power. Kuririn joins beside him and they land. The rest of the group lands too.
Everybody discusses their situation, and Yamcha says "We don't have to fight Furiza, we can still leave!" When he says this Bulma and Puarr land in a Hoi-Poi helicopter. She states that she isn't going to miss Furiza this time. The gang pardons with her and is about to leave.
Piccolo screams "He's here" and the ship passes over their heads. Everybody runs off and leaves Bulma and Puarr behind. Bulma is determined so she runs after them with Puarr.
In about 10 minutes (real time) she catches up to them and their standing still. Vegeta insists they they stay there so Furiza wont sense them.
Furiza's ship lands in the badlands and he steps out, with King Kold. There is an image of Gokou on a plateau, and Furiza wigs out. He remembers how Gokou refused to fight and leaves Furiza, and the planet explodes. Furiza is floating in space with half of his face ripped off. Clinging to life, he whispers "Beaten... By a stupid Sayai-jin.
There you see King Kold's ship, and two workers are looking for Furiza. On says that they can't find Furiza. Kold is enraged and smashes the window. Another worker exclaims that they found Furiza. Using great technology Furiza can be rebuilt, faster and stronger than before. Furiza is rebuilt and the first thing he says is "Set course for Earth".
Furiza tells some troops to scout out the area. They fly up, then fly down, but now in peices. A warrior, Trunks lands and says "You must be Furiza".

When we last left Furiza a mysterious warrior destroyed all the scouts. This enraged Furiza, and he ordered troops to surround Trunks. The lead troop looks into his scouter, while numbers start flashing. "Ha! His power is only 5" says the cocky troop.
The troop fires blasts of his raygun, but Trunks bats away every shot. Then in a flash there are a lot of sword strikes and all but one troop are dead. All of his accesories break off and the coward begins to back away. Before he can gain distance the hand of Furiza punches through his abdomen.
Furiza doubts Trunks' power and claims he can be easily defeated. Trunks with his smerk states "It's time to face a real Super Saiya-jin... And I'm not talking about Gokou." He starts to power up while all the corpes around him lift off the ground. The hair and eyes begin to flash, and the transformation completes.
In an instant Furiza fires a large blast that causes a huge explosion and summons an enormous pile of smoke. The Changeling lord laughs and so does his father, until the smoke clears. Trunks is still standing. Trunks smiles and says that blast was weak. Furiza fires another, but this time much larger energy bomb. Trunks sticks out his arms and catches it, while it forces him back. Trunks, again, has survived and tells Furiza to put everything in this one. Furiza starts with a small energy force but it massively increases.
Kaiou says Furiza is going to destroy the planet, just like on Namek (Wow, thanks Captain Obvoius).
Soon the energy ball is huge and Furiza throws it down on Trunks. King Cold says "You could have done this from the start and saved some time." But then the ball stops and moves up. The laughter stops as Trunks steps up with the energy. "Damn Monkey," yells Furiza and fires some ki into the massive ball.
Once again Trunks is presumed dead... But there he stands on a plateau. He casts burning attack which Furiza dodges. Then the Saiya-jin junps towards Furiza with his sword drawn and cuts him in half, right down the middle.
