After about one day of seeing the trailor to this music video, I was extremley excited to check out Majin Mebs new creation. This was one of the first times that I had actually came to Majin Planet, then I saw the trailor. First thing about the trailor. This has to be one of the most unique, original, and poissitvley awesome creations I've seen. Yes, I know it's only a trailor..But wait! Have you seen the incredible techniques Mebs used on this? One awesome effect I noticed was this wavy graphical effect. This was a great addition to the trailor/music vid. Also, possibly the best part of the trailor, the fading effect and the story behind it. Now this was just awesome. I was watching the trailor/music vid and all of the sudden, the vid fades out, and you see text..telling about the story of Cell. That was one of the best ideas I've seen. Now to talk about the vid itself. This music video was possibly Majin Meb's greatest creation. First off, the special effects made the music video. Every part you could see one. Another great part of the MV is the quality of the clips. Well obviously the quality is awesome, considering that he took it off his VCC from CartoonNetwork. I was impressed, because he started the music video even before the Cell Saga was complete. Far from it. Still, he managed to capture about every important part to the Saga in about 1 month. Now about the song. This song was perfect for this music video, just awesome. If Mebs was to pick any other song for this, it would have still been awesome, but not as electrifying. The song "The Battle" without a doubt is a great build up song I like to call it. It's really cool, and theres a lot of parts that just build up the action, and make it a wonderful choice of a song. That about wraps it up.

Majin Sky of Dragon Ball Rebellion

One word sums up this whole video: Epic

The most epic saga of "Dragonball Z" mixed with one of the most epic soundtracks ever. Its a very good mix, which turned out very well. Its a very refreshing change from the usual rock/metal videos which, honestly, don't have near the feel that was produced by watching this video. I think it summed up the saga quite nicely, concentrating on the more important battles and moments. Once the video finishes, you'll feel like you've just watched a DBZ marathon of the Cell Saga (except with FAR better music =P).
Quality-wise, its excellent. The video quality is outstanding, as they were taken from VHS copies of the dub, not low quality clips from low-quality fansubs. The audio itself is decent, sounding near CD quality. While nothing below a 100000 bitrate does the Gladiator soundtrack justice, the sound is still very good when compared to other videos. Also, the editing is on par with Meb's other work, as most of the beats are hit precisely on-cue.But no video is without its cons. While the pros FAR outweigh the cons, there still is one that nags, somewhat.... the length. While it adds greatly to the epic feel, it also distracts from the "replayablity". In other words, you wont find yourself watching this 100 times.

So, in summary, one of the few DBZMVs that actually shows some originality. Very few tell the story this well. I hope more vidders take note from this... then the internet would be a better place. ^_^

 Gladiator

Let me start out by saying that I have known Mebs for a long time...ever since before the Majin War. I have seen each Music Video of his come out, one at a time. Each has gotten better and better. When I heard about this, I was sort of skeptical. He had never used a song like this before in his Videos. Well, it proved to be the best thing he's ever done. The text was a nice touch, so even if you didn't see some of the episodes, you knew what's going on. Then the timing of almost everything in the video is precise, just perfect. When Gohan went Super Saiyan 2, I got goose bumps. Only one other Video of his gave me goose bumps, and that's the Majin Vegeta vs. SSJ2 Goku, when Goku broke out of the rocks and smashed Vegeta. There are few moments like that in his Music Videos, and he captured this one perfectly. Then, at the end, I almost cried, because the emotion fit exactly with the song, and with the clips. I give this video, all out, 7 full stars, because this is definitely his best work yet.
